TUMS Faculty Member Represents Iran in the WHO Ethics Review Committee (ERC)

Dr Ehsan Shamsi Gooshki, Associate Professor of Medical Ethics at Tehran University of Medical Sciences and the Vice-Chair and sole representative of the Western Asia and Eastern Mediterranean region in the WHO Ethics Review Committee (ERC), stated that a significant portion of the WHO's activities involves reviewing research and scientific endeavors. He emphasized that all such activities must be ethically evaluated to ensure that research subjects are not harmed.
